  This is the third in a series on Hardcore Bad A$$es of New City Park.  Lindbergh Lane off of Red Hill Road is named for Charles Lindbergh 1902-1974  Born in Detroit Michigan, growing up in Little Falls Minnesota and Washington D.C.  American Aviator of Swedish descent the son of a Congressman.   He was an Air Mail Pilot who took off  from Long Island, New York, flying three thousand miles across the Atlantic landing in Paris France,  delivers a letter.   Awarkardedly orders a croissant and coffee, black with just a whiff of cinnamon.  The French thinks he's mignonne*.   He became the twentieth century's earliest celebrities.

  In 1932 his infant son was kidnapped, leading to a sensational trail and conviction.  After the horrible ordeal he and his wife leave America and live in Europe,  Hangs out in Germany with a bunch of Nazies and suspects these guys are not what they seem to be, despite there cool uniforms.  leaves in 1939 quickly.

  During WWII  President Roosevelt did not want him in the military because he was such a famous person, and getting him killed or captured would  bum out America  and give the Axis powers a fantastic photo op.  With Hitler or Hirohito asking him for his autograph and posing next to him smiling.  Inviting him over for lunch of watercress sandwiches or sushi  and then throw him into a some dark dank dungeon. Only to parade him out for more propaganda parties.

  He works as a consultant for Aircraft companies.   He con's one of the  companies to send him to the South Pacific so that he can observe aircraft landings.  The first chance he gets he "borrows" a Hellcat and goes out on a strafing run against Japanese held islands.   He's  just a civilian mind you. Pretty Bad A$$!

  His family life gets really Hardcore Bad A$$ery.  He fathers thirteen children... (6) with his wife Ann Morrow Lindbergh and the (7) with three different mistresses in Germany. Two of them sisters. Wow busy guy around the holidays.  Apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. it runs in his a family.
